What Chief Information Security Officers across London want you to know about Cyber Hygiene.

We recently hosted a panel of London’s leading CISOs, and know you’ll be interested in some of the key takeaways. Featuring the experts responsible for security at the London Stock Exchange, Schroders and the Winton Group, the panel was moderated and joined by the leading insights platform for risk-based enterprise security provider, Panaseer.

With the increase in risk from many angles, the first line of defence is making sure you are focusing on your Cyber Hygiene practices. As there will never be a state of 100% secure, what becomes important is understanding the state of your Cyber Hygiene and then taking action on the areas that will provide the most significant risk reduction. Takeaways from the panel included:

  • It’s safer in the cloud
  • Whether you are an enterprise organisation or an individual, you need to patch, but also reboot your computers weekly
  • Understand who has access to which accounts within your system. Limit the number of accounts with privileged access to your systems to the people who need it

The Panaseer Platform, as we learnt from the panellists, can help “make molehills out of mountains.” This approach helps large corporates get data-driven visibility into Cyber Hygiene processes and practices across their organisation’s security solutions and services which has traditionally been a very painful manual process. The new automated risk-based approach can give insights to drive and improve Cyber Hygiene performance.

We were delighted that on the day of the panel, City AM and other media were highlighting Panaseer as “set for stardom” because of their market-leading capabilities.

May we take this opportunity to invite you to this event we will host in February, called “Out with the Old, In with the New.” Come and hear the war stories of the UK’s leading experts on the secure destruction of devices that hold your business data.

Please invite your business customers and suppliers to join our Free Membership, so we can help them to innovate and grow securely.
