During Cyber Resilience Week UK which took place from 11-15 September 2017, the London Digital Security Centre organised and hosted two conferences, two drop-in sessions, two workshops and two ‘in the community’ events and were part of a nationwide initiative that engaged with 2,458 participants over that one week.
One attendee said: “A brilliant event, first time I’ve had it explained so simply and without any sell or scaremongering.”
The key points from the London Digital Security Centre were that:
- Security is an enabler of business survival and growth, doing the simple things will make all the difference.
- All businesses can take control of their digital security.
- Effective security is not just about technical controls.
John Unsworth, Chief Executive for the London Digital Security Centre said, “What a week! It was great to be part of a national initiative to help improve businesses cyber resilience, and to be able to personally engage with Businesses based all over London.
“Partnership working was at the core of our delivery with more than 30 organisations collaborating with us during the week all with the purpose of providing free advice and support to businesses across London.
“The ethos of Cyber Resilience Week superbly compliments the work that we are doing at the Centre, and it was privilege to support Digital Leaders in its delivery.”
